Online transactions in Egypt are often plagued by fraud and distrust. Existing solutions lack transparency and user-friendly features for secure buying and selling. As the product designer, I was responsible for creating a user-friendly interface that emphasizes security, transparency, and ease of use.

While Madmoon set out to make P2P transactions in Egypt secure and seamless, three core issues kept users from completing deals:
Spatial’s cutting-edge AR/VR audio technology called for a professional, visually engaging brand that could communicate the unique, immersive nature of their product while maintaining accessibility and clarity.
❌ Security Concerns
Fear of fraud and scams deterred users from sharing payment details or finishing transactions.
❌ Lack of Trust
No built-in escrow meant buyers and sellers had no guarantee funds or goods would actually exchange hands.
❌ Transparency Issues
Unclear status updates and limited communication channels led to confusion, disputes, and dropped transactions.
Brand-new escrow-powered flow + real-time status updates + transparent buyer-seller chat + a reusable “Trust Card” UI component.
This combination gives users clear, visible “trust signals” at every step—holding funds securely until delivery, notifying them instantly as milestones are reached, and letting them communicate directly within the app.
This Madmoon app design project offered valuable lessons that will benefit my future UI design endeavors.
